Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports
Since its inception in 1988 the IPCC has prepared five multivolume assessment reports. The Fifth Assessment Report was released between September 2013 and November 2014.
- Climate Change 2014 Summary for Policymakers - Provides an integrated view of climate change based on the reports of the three Working Groups of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), March 2015.
- Climate Change 2014: Mitigation of climate change - Provides a comprehensive assessment of all relevant options for mitigating climate change through limiting or preventing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as activities that remove them from the atmosphere, IPCC Working Group III Contribution to AR5.
- Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis (Full report; caution large file) - Presents clear and robust conclusions in a global assessment of climate change science—not the least of which is that the science now shows with 95 percent certainty that human activity is the dominant cause of observed warming since the mid-20th century; comprehensive report of Working Group I to the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
- Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability - Landing page for the group working on assessing and managing the risks of climate change, IPCC Working Group II Contribution to AR5.

Only about one in ten Americans understands that over 90% percent of climate scientists think human-caused global warming is happening. |
This study—written by James Hansen, NASA’s former lead climate scientist, and 16 co-authors, many of whom are considered among the top in their fields—concludes that glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica will melt 10 times faster than previous consensus estimates, resulting in sea level rise of at least 10 feet in as little as 50 years. A discussion paper under review for the journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2015
Climate Change: Evidences and Causes - Provides a reference document for decision makers, policy makers, educators, and other individuals seeking authoritative answers about the current state of climate-change science. U.S. National Academy of Sciences and The U.K. Royal Society, March 2014
